The Institute for Higher Education 2023 Registration is Open
The Institute for Higher Education at The Beach is June 4-8, 2023 at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach. Now in its third year and with incredible interest from the higher ed community, the event is expanding to serve more higher ed professionals who impact institutional enrollment. Registration is open at institutehe.org.
Today at the 2022 NACAC National Conference, the steering committee, in partnership with 3 Enrollment Marketing, Inc., announced that registration for the 2023 Institute for Higher Education at The Beach is now open.
Taking place June 4-8, 2023 at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in Florida, the industry-leading event is expanding to serve more higher ed leaders who impact enrollment. Five specialized tracks will ensure the content and the spirit of the Institute—which allows for smaller groups, discussion, and connection—continue.
“It was important to retain a focus on helping attendees make connections while also meeting the needs of leaders who want their teams to grow and who want to work more synchronously with campus colleagues toward their goals,” says Mary Grondahl, Vice President of Modern Positioning & Planning at 3E and mentor coordinator. “We strive to create the most modern, forward-thinking event available to higher ed professionals, and we constantly challenge ourselves to make it an even more insightful experience.”
Expanded to 5 professional tracks for 2023:
1. President Track
Intended for leaders including presidents and chancellors, this track takes place over one day of the Institute, Monday, June 5, with a welcome reception Sunday evening. Topics will include Radical Practices to Transform Your Institution, Meeting the Needs of Low-Income Students, and Making Your Board a Strategic Advantage.
2. Chief Enrollment Leader Track
Designed for vice presidents of enrollment, chief enrollment officers, and deans of admission, attendees in this track will build a strategic enrollment framework, gain a seasoned strategic peer partner/mentor, and have the opportunity to earn a career-advancing credential. Topics will include Strategic Positioning and Enrollment Planning, Enrollment Leader as Product Strategist, and Modern Technology Used in Recruiting.
3. Modern Marketing Leader Track
Vice presidents and directors of marketing, social media and digital marketing managers, and communications specialists will benefit from this track, as it ties advanced marketing strategies and tactics to improving institutional enrollment outcomes. Attendees will deep-dive into each of the social channels, explore AR and VR, and discuss advanced metrics and analytics.
4. Emerging Enrollment Leader Track
For assistant and associate directors, directors, and counselors, this track will address territory management, student communications, and closing strategies, among other topics.
5. Secondary School Counselor Track
Designed for the unique needs of school counselors, this track will address student communications, college costs, online college search, and other topics.
Bryan Gross, Ed.D., is a member of the steering committee and 3E’s Vice President of Modern Strategic Planning & International Enrollment Strategy. He shares, “As an attendee of the inaugural Institute two years ago, I cannot describe just how memorable my experience was. The atmosphere is honest and collaborative, allowing for conversations and an exchange of ideas with my peers I had not experienced before. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to take on the unique challenges of our profession. Now, as a proud member of the 3E team, I am thrilled to be shaping this experience’s evolution.”
As is the hallmark of this pioneering event, it remains 100% focused on learning, decompression, and reflection. Within each track, mornings will be spent with inspiring leaders inside and outside higher education, afternoons are for reflection and integrating the week’s learning, and evenings are for discussions with colleagues.
